this is the last time.
mcflys coming to australia, maybe i've mentioned that. but they haven't made anything at all official. different sites and different magazines are telling me all these different things. the guys haven't announced when tickets go on sale yet, but drum media, a gig magazine, is telling me they go on sale tomorrow. but no one else has announced it. another site is telling me they're not coming til march because they want to spend plenty of time in japan. im not sure whats true and what's not anymore, but this is all giving me a terrible headache. if i don't get tickets this time round, i will cry. sneeking into the annandale last year was easy as pie, but this years gig is at the flash metro theatre, and something tells me it won't be as easy to get backstage this time.
its all a load of bollocks, really. the metro and, sorry, but the boys as well, have really got to get their acts together. its leaving all the sydney fans knickers in a twist. i won't be able to concentrate in period three art tomorrow, you wait.
i'll be an anxious mess.
but for now, im rather sleepy and have just had a shit sunday at work. the only good part of the day was sarah giving me free strawberry muffins at muffin break after they closed, and coming home to a nearly-empty house to watch final destination three, which is a fantastic movie, btw. its the fourth time i've watched it this weekend.
my favourite scene is when wendys freaking out about the rollercoaster, and some guy tells her she's an attention seeker. coz kevin (who's supposed to be a complete idiot) goes and defends her and hits the guy. its just a little scene, but it made me awww, even if just seconds before it, there was a rather brutal accident scene. haha, im all about the heart, really. (and the guy who plays kevin is quite nice to peek at.)
if you haven't already seen final destination three, i strongly recomment that you do.
right. now.

happy australia day!
i spent a good hour trying to find something to wear. im the kind of girl that loves her tights and leggings, and i soo very much wanted to wear a crisp with business shirt over a pair of tights, but the heat took over and i settled for a floaty blue summer dress with a thin pleated belt around my waist. it wasnt my best outfit, but it was comfortable, and the dress is just so lovely.
the night kicked off at Cartias house, where we waited around for her boyfriend andrew to come and pick us up. we managed to convince her step sister jasmine to tag along as well. then we drove up to the bottle shop to buy their smirnoffs, but i brought my own since i wasnt planning on getting drunk, due to 10am start to work this morning. then we made our way to waynes house. it was great to see everyone from school again, because ive basically spent most of my holidays with carly and kira at work, and theresa and cassandra elsewhere.
i did though, the other night, go to the arctic monkeys gig at the hordern pavillion, and i got up front and center to alex turner, which was amazing. but thats not for here.
waynes party was great. i made two new gay friends, and found out one of my friends was gay. i cruised around the streets buying coke, pepsi and kitkats, and i had great conversations with everyone. socialising is always good fun when you're drinking one of these..

theyre quite yummy tbh. except, i think mine was actually lemon lime and bitters.
but im getting a bit bored of this topic though, and im too tired to be depressed about the fact im not doing anything tonight for australia day. but im just terribly knackered, and im sure talking about shopping will cheer me up.
okay, so i want to buy these tops. i saw them in sportsgirl earlier, and i fell in love instantly. mostly with the bridget tee (right). i rather fancy the swing top as well, and its cheaper. payday is on thursday, so lets just see which one i decide on.
id love to write more, but im just so tired. ta ta.

just one more.

oh, i am sorry. im trying my hardest not to go blog happy, but ive one more thing to blog about tonight. and im sure its something that anyone with good taste can appreciate
the other night, thursday to be exact, i went to the hordern pavillion for the arctic monkeys gig. to make it short and simple, lets just say that it was fucking amazing, (then again, anything involving alex turner is) and it was worth every cent
they didnt perform mardy bum or fake tales from san francisco though, so im a bit irritated with that actually.
i couldnt find any good pictures of the show, so i settled for an old favourite of mine. isnt he stunning?
new year new blog.
obviously not me.this isnt my first attempt at blogging, tbh. apart from the pathetic attempts at a myspace blog, and bebo blog, etc, ive had about two other blogge accounts, and i suppose ive abandoned them. but this year, 2009, if you didnt already know, ive decided to make over my blog life, and start a blog on something that i'll always be interested in. my self, of course.
im seventeen, i live in the western suburbs of sydney (an absolute shithole tbh), and im in my final year of school. i dont class myself into any subcultures, but if you insist, i do think indie kids (pardon the reference to a 'scene') are rather interesting. call me crazy, but they do have better fashion than anyone else, even you.
i have idols. theres the music idols, such as ben gibbard of death cab fame, the lovely lads of mcfly, who i have loved since the beginning, and will love til the end, and the beatles, coz really, who in their right mind doesnt? then theres the fashion idols a la geldof sisters, alexa, agyness and zooey. and then theres my real life idols, the ones who arent rich and/or famous. theyd be my best friends, and my dogs.
by golly, theyre excellent.
