i wish for...

a few things on my mind today. i had the sunday off work, and the parentals were out, so i was left to my own devices, and to behonest, thats never healthy. i think i went a bit mental as i sat in my room. it was sooo very hot, even if the air was turned on.

these two dresses from forever new. i failed to spot either of them when i went to forever new the other week, but i did spot them on the interpipe, and im in complete love with both. the floral one (floral silk tea dress) is $99.99! but the lace one (lace shift dress) is only $69.99. i know which one i'll be buying. cept i am saving for the european getaway, so i might have to settle for a cheaper alternative at Temt or SES. the quality will never be as good though, which is a shame, really.

once again, im going to mention alex pettyfer, simply because he is probably one of the most stunning guysin the entire world, along with dougie poynter, alex turner and the sex god in angus thongs and perfect snogging. i absolutely loved him in storm breaker, and i'm quite pleased to telll you that there is a boy that looks just like him at my school. i came to the realisation of it the other day. see, ive fancied this one guy for a while, but ive not heard him speak, or seen him speak to anyone who isnt in the small group of friends he hangs out wth by the library. im not sure hes a loner, but in a way, hes close enough. so the other day, i was on youtube and an stormbreaker clip popped up, and i squealedin surprise when i realised the wuiet mysterious guy from school had a fairly similar face to alex pettyfer (except for the fact that he has brown, not blonde hair). isnt he gorgeous? (alex, i mean) the other guy is gorgeous too, but no one else seems to agree. but thats probably just coz my friends dont know how to appreciate a quiet, nerdy guy like i do =D.

the last thing that was on my mind today, which is also on my wishlist, is this..

im guilty guilty guilty for still being a massive fan of his. but ive loved him since i was a wee one, and he was my first ever 'real' crush. i want this cd!! ive got aarons party (LOL) in my cd case now, but in those awkward days where i tried to be cooler than that, i missed out on some of the other brilliant stuff he came out with. its pure pop goodness, and i miss the 90's!!

til i get every single album of his, ive always got youtube lol.

im off! got to get to sleep! waking up extra early just to order my mcfly tickets. theyre only doing one sydney show, and i CAN NOT miss out. last years shows were just too epic. imagine this years!

fear me, dear

today was pleasant. i woke up at half seven this morning, despite the fact that my first class of the day began at eight. rather than rush about the house trying to get ready, i slowly got myself dressed for school, and didnt leave for school til half nine. the mothership didnt mind, i told her i had photography. and i got a nice piece of buttered toast out of the deal. lazy mornings are amazing.

when i finally did get to school, the day was simple, because id missed out on my first two periods, and went straight on through to morning tea. i only had two periods left of the day, society and culture, because classes finish at half twelve every friday.

so rather than go home (it was far too hot to wait for the bus) i caught the train down to blacktown with carly and i spent a few hours chatting to her in pet centre (the least busy section of big w). ive turned into one of those pathetic employees that come into work even when theyre not working.

but oh, we did have fun. i went and got myself a chicken wrap from hungry jacks, then i had a wander about pet centre, planning what i am going to buy for my pet mouse, which i havent bought yet. i will soon though. it'll be fantastic, and i will name him/her pumpkin.

i was going to buy myself some new rimmel make-up, because i need some new foundation, but i changed my mind. its such a pity too, because if you spend more than $15 on any rimmel products, you get a lovely carry all bag with images of london on it. rather than buy the make-up, i moseyed on over to the entertainment section and bought myself a 'charlie and lola' dvd. carly and i watched it on the plasma screens in pet centre. we also made lame attempts at drawing charlie and his lovely sister (on a blank big w receipt nonetheless). i made charlie a bit fatter than i meant to. and carlys attempt at lola made the poor girl look slightly wrong. anorxic maybe?

after i finished at blacktown, i went home to find ther house empty, so i decided to make myself useful. ive amde a mess painting the frame of a pinboard black. im going to cover the cork part with some gorgeous giftwrap a la kath kdston (sort of) when the paints dried, and the product is complete, i'll post a photo. im sure it'll be lovely.

after finishing with the board, i made myself some tea with the tea set i bought for myself the other day. i took a picture as well. and its also got one of my schoolbooks in it. its covered with borders gift wrap, just like i said it would be.

ive not got work tomorrow. i told my supervisor, chris, that i just had far too much school work to do. its true. i was terribly lazy this summer, and i didnt get anything done. my fault, as always. ive promised myself i'll get as much as i can done tomorrow, minus distractions. unless its hot, and i decide to hop into the massive blow up pool ive put up in my garden.

tonight though, i plan on sitting in front of the widescreen watching zoolander, eurotrip and final destination with the sister and her boyfriend. today was excellent. and before i go, just a little picture for you...

leona edmiston

the mothergoose and i went shopping the other day and while she went looking through the bag department of myer (which i usually deteste due to the horrid prices of hideous bags), i came across a lovely bag that i reall really reall want! it was $245 and it was a 100% plastic clutch bag, and it was utterly delicious. i couldnt stop looking at it. i calculated, and its basically two weeks of my casual rate pay (but it leaves some extra spending money!) i want it! it doesnt look like much in the picture, but when its in your hands, you really feel the value. and i adore anything by leona.

tata for now!

school school go away

found my school bag. nowhere near what i was looking for, but it was on sale at sportsgirl for $20, and its rather spacey and handy. its a bit plain though, so i might hunt down some brooches and flowers i can pin on to make it prettier.

i also treated myself to some of that gorgeous gift wrap from borders i was raving about a few blogs ago, and its lovely. and my pencil case is a lovely little cltch bag i picked up in glassons from $15. its ruched and a suede-like material, and it cozily holds all my little bits and bots for school work (which i dont do very often).

i came about this close to buying a little charlie and lola money tin in borders today, it wa half price, but i quickly put it back on the shelf when i realised the little lock on the side was missing. what a shame.

they really are an adorable pair. it would be a better world if everyone and everything looked like what it does in charlie and lola land, dont you think?

after spending a good few minutes in the abc shop looking to see if they had any charlie and lola money tins there, i wandered over to forever new, which is australias excuse for topshop. everything is topshop inspired and i rummaged around the racks and came really close to buying a lovely tulle dress and a floral skirt, but i decided against it, seeing as i have to save for myend of year trip to europe. i even went to the travel agents today and the really helpful travel agent man gave me about a gazillion travel brochures and as soon as i have time, i'll go through them with theresa and cassandra. enough of that though, tios just making me excited.

just before the mothership and i left the shops today, we wandered into a little homewares store, and i bought myself a little maxwell williams teaset. its a tea for one set, and its got lovehearts and elephants on it. have i mentioned that i collect teacups before? no? well now i have. and this has just added to my lovely collection. i quite adore it. ive just googled maxwell williams, and turns out theyve got a wide range of lovely teasets that i can buy. im rather excited now!

school starts tomorrow. im not too excited.

but on the plus side, mcfly announced a sydney show, and its right in the centre of the city, at The Metro Theatre. Im very very happy. Fingers crossed that i get a ticket! It'd be lovely to get to see them live again. I remember the days when id cry coz i thought id never ever get to meet them. What a waste of tears.

must run. sleep is calling.

happy australia day!

last night was an eventful evening. i had my first sunday off work in weeks, and i spent the day at home, which was rather boring. but waynes australia day party (which was the wrong day, but oh well) was last night, and theyre always good fun. he has a fair few parties year and they never stray from being entertaining.

i spent a good hour trying to find something to wear. im the kind of girl that loves her tights and leggings, and i soo very much wanted to wear a crisp with business shirt over a pair of tights, but the heat took over and i settled for a floaty blue summer dress with a thin pleated belt around my waist. it wasnt my best outfit, but it was comfortable, and the dress is just so lovely.

the night kicked off at Cartias house, where we waited around for her boyfriend andrew to come and pick us up. we managed to convince her step sister jasmine to tag along as well. then we drove up to the bottle shop to buy their smirnoffs, but i brought my own since i wasnt planning on getting drunk, due to 10am start to work this morning. then we made our way to waynes house. it was great to see everyone from school again, because ive basically spent most of my holidays with carly and kira at work, and theresa and cassandra elsewhere.

i did though, the other night, go to the arctic monkeys gig at the hordern pavillion, and i got up front and center to alex turner, which was amazing. but thats not for here.

waynes party was great. i made two new gay friends, and found out one of my friends was gay. i cruised around the streets buying coke, pepsi and kitkats, and i had great conversations with everyone. socialising is always good fun when you're drinking one of these..

theyre quite yummy tbh. except, i think mine was actually lemon lime and bitters.

but im getting a bit bored of this topic though, and im too tired to be depressed about the fact im not doing anything tonight for australia day. but im just terribly knackered, and im sure talking about shopping will cheer me up.

okay, so i want to buy these tops. i saw them in sportsgirl earlier, and i fell in love instantly. mostly with the bridget tee (right). i rather fancy the swing top as well, and its cheaper. payday is on thursday, so lets just see which one i decide on.

id love to write more, but im just so tired. ta ta.

and the blogging begins.

i like fashion, and i like shopping. most girls do these days. but to create a blog about it seems a step away from just 'liking' the topic.

since its my summer holidays at the moment, all ive pretty much done is used up all my hard earned cash on clothes and accessories, mainly in sportsgirl (if you're from overseas, i recommend that you CHECK. IT. OUT). big w, my place of employment, doesnt pay me nearly enough to support the appetite of my wardrobe, so ive got my wish lists, and theyre very handy, despite the fact thatit depresses me that the many millions things i plan on buying have not been, er.. bought yet.

school starts exactly a week from today, and ive yet to start my yearly school accessory hunt. the top of my list includes gorgeous books (see the image below. sportsgirl notebooks, $17.95 a pop, oh my.), a lovely little bag (see image below again, ASOS jacquard carry all £27.50) and a few pairs of over the knee socks (you know the drill, these ones were in ASOS too, but i could probably find them in my local shops if i tried). the books and the carry all are obviously going to come in handy for school, and the socks, well, theyre just lush arent they (my legs are far from that perfect though)? i couldnt wear them for school, (white is regulation) but i could wear them with a lovely pair of mary janes, or even some rain boots, if i may.

so the hunt begins. i dont think i'm ready to blow that much cash on the notebooks, but im sure a few bound notebooks from office works will suffice, as long as i blow a few dollars on that lovely gift wrap in borders. at about $3.50 a sheet, its a bit dear, but its much better than buying six of the sportsgirl notebooks.

and when it comes to the carry all. its simple really; i want it!

note to self, borrow the motherships credit card. it'll never get here in time, but want it nonetheless.
